About the Position:

The Fraunhofer Center for Sustainable Energy Systems (CSE) is looking for a Fellow with experience in policy and communications. The ideal candidate will be capable of applying their policy and communications expertise to developing a PV system standard.  This is an opportunity to coordinate and manage the logistics of establishing a new technology system standard.

Principal Responsibilities and Learning Opportunities:

  • Drive progress toward development of a new technology standard within standards development framework provided
  • Research non-technical aspects of standards development
  • Synthesize existing written technical information to support development of materials for distribution/presentation
  • Provide logistical support in convening and communicating with a group of external stakeholders
  • Develop a database of contacts and relationship tracking information
  • Learn about PV installation, permitting, inspection and interconnection processes, as well as technology standard development.

Required Experience and Education:

  • An excellent academic record, relating to policy, science, engineering, or business
  • Experience managing stakeholders with different interests
  • Skilled oral and written communicator
  • Effectively collaborates in a team environment, but also able to work independently
  • Self-driven individual with a desire to expand capabilities, ability to quickly learn and adapt new skills
  • Works effectively in a multidisciplinary environment
