Job Description
  • Job Responsibilities:

    The Clinical Administrator serves as an adjunct to the telecommuting On Call Clinical Consultant team by overseeing and fulfilling telephonic and electronic requests for clinical and administrative support.  The Clinical Administrator works from the Clinical Command Center located at Abiomed, Inc. in Danvers, MA.   

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees all Clinical Support Center (CSC) and Patient Management Line (PML) electronic communication.
    • Processes field based requests for administrative services and support; triages tasks and calls to the On Call Clinical Consultant per protocol.
    • Maintains the Plan of Care to ensure that all CSC activities are completed efficiently, with high quality, and on time.
  • Possesses, acquires, and maintains the technical/professional expertise required to do the job effectively.
  • Recognizes and corrects errors in documentation in order to ensure data and reporting accuracy.
  • Is highly motivated, independent, and proactive; anticipates needs and issues and takes action accordingly.

CSC Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Assists with Clinical Support Center and Advanced Clinical Application team responsibilities as needed.




Skills/Requirements

Job Qualifications:

·        Nurse or technologist with cardiac patient care experience in the ICU, cath lab, cardiac imaging, or cardiac testing (ICU/Cath Lab RN, Cath Lab Tech, Cardiac Sonographer, or EKG/Stress Tech).

·        Comfortable with medical terminology, especially that which relates to the cardiovascular system.

·        Skilled in desktop computer software with the ability to adapt easily to new software applications; Salesforce and MS Office experience is a plus. 

·        Professional decorum and a friendly can-do attitude; easily develops rapport with individuals through all channels of communication.

·        Strong work ethic and self-starter; ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

·        Quality focused and detail-oriented with strong proactive follow-through skills.

  • Flexible and adaptable; eager to learn and expand skill sets in a rapidly growing technological environment.
  • Critical thinker; able to assess dynamic situations and triage/delegate tasks.
