Job Description

Purpose:
Under the direction of the Audio Visual Manager
Setup and strike of all audio/visual equipment for conventions, banquets, concerts and festivals throughout the Snowbird Resort area as specified on the Banquet Event Order and/or client’s request.

Position Functions / Areas of Responsibility
1.    Ensures all equipment is in proper working order before/during events. Maintains inventory to proper operating condition.
2.    Completes all billing paperwork duties and organization of Banquet Event Orders.
3.    Coordinates with Client on site with any additional A/V needs, as well as giving instructions on equipment usage.
4.    Completes all in-house A/V needs (resort wide).
5.    Troubleshoots A/V equipment/situational problems (e.g., bad cords, wrong connections, etc.).
6.    Report to work ready to work. Other duties as assigned.
7.    Travel: None

Interactions
1.    Direct and continuous contact with guests.
2.    Direct and continuous contact with co-workers, management and other departments.
3.    Must have the ability to interact at any time with guests and other employees in a pleasant manner and maintain good working relationships with others and all departments at Snowbird.

Education & Experience Requirements
1.  High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2.  0-6 months of job-specific work experience with demonstrated competence.

Specific Requirements:
1.  Must be at least 18 years of age.

Skills & Knowledge

Technical:    
Solid understanding of complete A/V equipment inventory. Office billing duties and Banquet Event Order organization. Some light computer work is also required. Follow-up of tasks and assignments and must have strong attention to detail. Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions. Ability to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and perform repairs to audio and video equipment. Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects. Knowledge of inventory management practices.
Must have the ability to handle, process, maintain and protect guest personal information, including credit card information, in compliance with all company or department policies and procedures according to PCI rules and requirements. This includes privacy and confidentiality, reporting, storage and disposal of sensitive information.  Will not share or disclose any guest personal or financial information to anyone unless authorized by the guest, manager or company or unless disclosure is permitted within departmental policies and procedures.

Administrative:    
This position requires knowledge and understanding of PCI DSS, including the safe and secure handling and maintenance of personal, financial and credit card information of guests/customers.
Duties include self-management, decision making, time organization and planning.

Working Conditions

Work Schedule:
1.  Shifts vary, may be early morning or late evening, weekends, holidays, depending on business levels.

Mental:
1.  Must be prepared to stay overnight if necessary on occasional times of road closures.
2.  May experience unusual stress from high business volumes, deadlines, continual work with public, winter conditions, snow night requirements and commuting to/from Snowbird.

Physical:
1.  Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
2.  Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
3.  Must demonstrate ability to bend, kneel, handle, reach, grasp and perform repetitive motions.
4.  Must be willing to work outside on occasion (year round).  Long hours of standing or sitting to complete functions of a Audio Visual Tech.  Lots of walking due to the general area that events can be held.
