As a Store Planner, you are responsible for planning and implementing the ways Menards’ s displays the merchandise for sale. Use the latest in AutoCAD and design programs to create functional, store layouts and displays. Store Planners also evaluate guest traffic patterns and the attractiveness of various displays when planning the ways that new merchandise will be presented on the sales floor.
Develop new and remodel store’s layouts, inventory plans, and merchandise strategies
Manage store display processes; including projecting sales, inventory and store assortments by working directly with the Merchandising departments at the Corporate Office
Generate planning documents; including store condition analysis, fixture types, and scope development
Manage and publish reports, signage and other visual resources showing store inventory counts and assortment levels
Skills/Requirements
Associate or Bachelor Degree in Drafting Technology, Marketing Logistics, Civil Engineering, Structural or Architectural Drafting or related field of study
Experience using AutoCAD, Excel, and Adobe
Strong analytical, consultative, and communication skills; as well as the ability to make good judgment
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate; as well as foster a team-orientated and collaborative environment
Must work within designated normal office hours - Monday-Friday, 55 hours/week - at the Corporate Office in Eau Claire, WI (remote work is not offered)
