This position involves specialized work in developing and maintaining a safe workplace and supporting documentation at Midwest Manufacturing. This position advises all Team Members and Managers in safety matters. Work involves preparation or development and administration of all safety functions.
Primary Responsibilities
Maintain a current copy of Team Members safety paperwork and files, including workers compensation and safety training.
Maintain a current copy of OSHA files
Conduct safety orientation for new Team Members
Work in conjunction with Managers to conduct yearly safety retraining
Maintain safety programs, policies, and procedures
Answer Team Member questions on safety topics
Assist supervisors in counseling Team Members on any problems affecting work performance and resolving Team Member concerns
Any additional tasks as assigned by manager
Skills/Requirements
Position Requirements
Working knowledge of modern methods and techniques in safety administration
Knowledge of related laws such as (but not limited to) OSHA.
Able to write and speak clearly and accurately
Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Midwest Manufacturing Managers and Team Members
Able to deal tactfully with Team Members
Preferred Qualifications
3 or more years experience in a manufacturing setting
