Wargaming is hiring a Software Engineer who is experienced in database technologies for our Chicago and Baltimore offices. The individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining general game application code and code that specifically interfaces with databases, as well as help design and maintain database systems.

Duties:

• Design, implement and maintain general game application code
• Design, implement and maintain database interfacing code for games and services
• Work with other engineers and web developers to create and maintain database systems for backend services
• Support information needs of engineers, content creators, producers and analysts by ensuring information is stored and available for consumption

Requirements:

• Multiple years of experience creating database application code
• Multiple years of experience creating general purpose application code
• Comprehensive understanding and experience of object oriented programming with general purpose programming languages such as C++, Java, C# or Python
• Comprehensive understanding and experience of relational database management systems such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Ability to write robust, maintainable and high performance code
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
