Fab is looking for an experienced fulltime copywriter to join our Creative team. This person will be responsible for writing entertaining and informative descriptions for products featured on Fab. They will also work closely with graphic design, merchandising and marketing to create compelling and effective messaging for promotional campaigns.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Write accurate and engaging copy for products, daily emails, onsite banners, designer spotlights, and other media.
Collaborate with Fab graphic designers and buyers to brainstorm and conceive dynamic and powerful online promotions.
Liaise with Fab’s buying and sourcing department and outside vendors to ensure that information for individual product descriptions is correct, or to obtain missing information.
Research general information for various product categories covering high-end design, art, furniture, lighting, dining and tabletop, jewelry, and men’s and women’s personal accessories.
Support other projects and marketing initiatives as needed.
Skills/Requirements
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 4-Year college degree preferably in English, Journalism or Communications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must reside in New York City area
Enthusiastic disposition and ability to work well as part of a team
Ability and desire to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic and demanding start-up work environment
Knowledge of and interest in design
Minimum 3 years editorial writing experience (ecommerce background or online/print magazines or newspapers is preferred)
