Job Description

Artco (US), Inc. is seeking an energetic individual for a part-time Janitor role.


Position Summary:  Maintains, buildings, offices, and plant facilities, and company grounds clean and orderly. Identifies and notifies appropriate personal of unsafe working conditions or hazards so that these can be addressed timely. 


Qualifications Required:

  • No previous experience or skills required; however, previous experience is helpful


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains, buildings, offices, and plant facilities, and company grounds;
  • Completes routine cleaning and maintenance or grounds work;
  • Identifies unclean and unsafe areas within the building; responsible for reporting potential hazards to supervisor or other member of management; and/or takes the initiative to correct the problem;
  • Prioritizes effectively, and responds to cleaning requests promptly, by communicating positively with management and staff;
  • Regularly clean bathrooms, sinks.  In cases where bodily fluids are to be cleaned, team member will be trained appropriately and supplied with the appropriate and required personal protective equipment (PPE) to perform the job safely;
  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

Nonessential Skills and Experience:

  • During busy season, may scan orders and assemble NWF cards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

In the event a load weighs more than 50 pounds, team member is encouraged to seek assistance from another team member before lifting.


  • Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving machinery in temperature- controlled environment.  Fast paced.  Noise level is minimal to moderate.

  • Mid-year and annual performance appraisals for position level.
  • Attainment of annual goals established between supervisor and incumbent
