About the Position:

The Fraunhofer Center for Sustainable Energy Systems (CSE) is currently looking for a Business Development Intern for six months.  This is an opportunity to be part of one of the world’s leading research organizations and you'll be a key member of a dynamic team that shares a commitment to engineering excellence, combined with an excitement about sustainable energy technology. Previous Fraunhofer CSE interns have gone on to continue their studies at leading universities and/or have secured jobs in their fields.

Responsibilities and Learning Opportunities:

  • Will assist the Director of Strategy & Business Development with:
    • Helping to identify new potential funding sources for the organization
    • Conducting research on prospective funding sources and strategic partners
    • Drafting proposals for outreach to prospective investors
    • Tracking existing data and metrics
    • Supporting events hosted by the Marketing & Business Development teams for our community stakeholders
    • Updating contact lists

During this internship, the Development Intern will gain experience in the areas of market research, fundraising and creating targeted messages for various stakeholders.

Required Experience and Education:

  • Undergraduate degree, with excellent academic record, in related field of study. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Previous market research or development work/internship experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of and passion for sustainable energy technologies
  • High level of initiative and creativity
