Job Description

You must be at least 15 years old to apply for this position.

Salary: $7.25/hr or piece rate

Purpose :
Saturday only cleaning duties for time share condominiums on a Piece Rate basis.  Cleaning duties involve, but not limited to dusting furniture, vacuuming, cleaning mirrors, scrubbing toilets, showers, sinks and floors. Empting trash, cleaning spills, litter and other items as necessary to maintain cleanliness of guest rooms. Sorts dirty linen on occasion.

Position Functions / Areas of Responsibility
1. Cleaning of guest rooms.
2. Washing and folding linen.
3. Maintaining order in housekeeping closets.
4. Various other duties assigned by housekeeping director/supervisor.

Interactions
Guest Contact:
- Direct and continuous.
- Frequent guest contact is required.
- Must interact with guests and owners directly to insure that requests are granted to guest satisfaction.
Internal Contacts:
- Contact with co-workers, supervisors, management, and staff from other departments.
- Position requires a high level of internal contact, must work closely with housekeeping, front desk, and maintenance staff.
External Contacts:
- Little to no external contact.
Supervision/Management:
- Generally no supervisory roles.

Minimum Requirements
Education:
- This position does not require previous education or training.
Experience:
- There will be an on-the-job training period.
- No prior work experience is required, but good references as to work habits, trustworthiness, and attitude are.
Specific Requirements:
- Must be at least 15 years of age. 
- Must have a neat appearance and a positive attitude. 
- Must be reliable and prompt to work.

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities
Interactive Competencies:
- Able to interact with guests and customers of the resort in a friendly and accommodating manner. 
- Listening and oral communication skills, also conflict management and dispute resolution skills.
Technical Competencies:
- Demonstrate basic competency in reading, writing, speaking, simple arithmetic and interpersonal relations.
- Must have general computer knowledge and excellent typing skills. 
- Requires knowledge of basic office equipment, fax machine, telephone, copy machine, etc.
Administrative Competencies:
- Must be reliable, mature and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Requires good problem solving skills. 
- May also require the exercise of judgement within policy guidelines.
- Requires some problem solving and initiation of activities within job description and responsibility limitations.
- Requires strong understanding of other Snowbird operations.

Working Conditions
Working Hours:
- Must be available every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. or until work is done.
Physical Conditions:
- Able to stoop and lift items of light to medium weight (20-50 pounds). 
- Able to push or pull beds, move chairs and move tables.
- Daily work with cleaning chemicals presents some hazards. Must use care with chemicals.
- Requires standing and/or walking for extended periods of time.
- Must demonstrate ability to bend, kneel, handle, reach, grasp and perform repetitive motions.
Mental Conditions:  
- May experience some stress due to periodic guest relations, also during high occupancy periods.
- Must be prepared to stay overnight if necessary on occasional times of road closures.
- Position requires an outgoing and friendly personality.
- Must have the ability to work in a flexible and high volume environment.
- Needs the ability to make decisions quickly on guest and employee issues.
- May experience stress due to consistent high occupancy levels and weather-related conditions that exist at Snowbird.
Travel:
- Travel in and around the building is required. 
- May require travel between various buildings at Snowbird.
