The Columbus Campus of Georgia Military College is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Professor of English who will also serve as the campus Humanities Department Chair. The successful candidate must possess a Master's degree in English (Ph.D. preferred) or hold a Master’s degree and have 18 semester or 30 quarter hours in graduate English courses. Previous college teaching experience, knowledge of learner-centered education, and experience using a learning management system, such as Moodle, Blackboard, or WebCT is preferred. Department Chair and/or academic leadership experience is also preferred.
This position is a non-tenure track, 12-month renewable appointment. Duties include a teaching load of 60 quarter credit hours per year, academic advising, committee work, adjunct faculty supervision and other duties as assigned.
