Job Description

We are looking for an instructor to teach – Community First Aid & Safety. 

This class will provide the students the opportunity to study safety and prevention of accidents in the home, industrial, outdoor, water and traffic settings.  Also, first responder procedures for care and prevention of work, home, industrial and outdoor injuries are learned.  Water safety and care and prevention of injuries will also be covered.  Students will not receive a passing grade until they have achieved Red Cross certification in CPR and First Aid.

Responsibilitiesfor the adjunct include:

• Teach courses using provided syllabus.
• Organizes, prepares and regularly revises and updates all course materials.
• Develop and execute instructional plan for maximum learning.
• Uses appropriate technological options for online technologies and course-related software, including Websites, e-mail, and online discussions for preparing the course and making it accessible to students.
• Ensures that the content and level of material included on exams correspond to the course objectives.
• Demonstrates consistency and fairness in the preparation and grading of exams, and provide timely feedback to students.
• Grade submitted assignments and provide developmental feedback to students in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress.

This class meets on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:00 a.m. to 11:50 a.m, August 21, 2013 to December 11, 2013 on our Wichita campus. 

Must have a Masters Degree in Education.
