The Field Engineer will be a member of the EF & I Services team and will be dedicated to adhering to procedures, focused on producing the best quality service, being highly productive and mindful of costs. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a challenging, dynamic, team-based environment.
The successful candidate must meet a majority of the knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience requirements outlined below.
The Field Engineer acts as the focal point for projects. He/She is capable of performing without supervision or direction work operations/job activities, including, but not limited to the following:
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / COMPETENCIES
Bachelors degree and/or six years of industry related experience
Knowledge of Telco services and systems.
Knowledge of engineering and computer principles.
Knowledge of installation procedures.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
WORK REQUIREMENTS/ WORKING CONDITIONS:
Use of standard office equipment
Climbing of stairs, ladders, and/or scaffold.
Exposure to mechanical, electrical, and/or other hazards.
Assists in providing training, work direction, and problem solving assistance for other workers.
DEGREE OF AUTONOMY:
Works under minimal supervision
