Job Description

PRIMARY ROLE:    This position will have responsibility for maintaining hardware, providing desktop support and, more generally, the electronic inter-communication system for every aspect of the IA Program. The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for providing assistance to all in-house as well as regional field staff regarding all hardware and system issues   

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Manages the activation and setup of the computer workstations for office staff, the mobile tablet computers for the nurse assessors in the field, and other IT functions in advance of the hiring and training of program personnel; 
  • Assists office and field personnel with computer-related problems, maintain computers, and continue to set up computers, computer databases, software and other programs;
  • Provides training and support as it pertains to technical equipment and usage to executive staff, regional assessment managers, nurse assessors, mediation and appeal representatives, processing team staff, referral processors and other staff as needed.
  • Responsible for the management of all incoming and outgoing equipment in the IT department.
  • Responsible for the tracking and retrieval of equipment from the field staff once employment ceases.
  • Provides needed technology setups in conference rooms for all meetings and trainings.
  • Communicates planned/unplanned disruptions in the utilization of all technology systems including phone systems as they effect operations.
  • Assures contract compliance by delivering quality services and meeting all contractual, legal and regulatory requirements;
  • Proactively anticipates and prevents problems that could result in customer dissatisfaction or failure to deliver contracted services;
  • Implements and maintains systems to ensure employee productivity and satisfaction;
  • Responsible to recognize risk and implement plans to control and avoid such risk;
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills/Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field;  additional experience may substitute for some education;
  • 2 – 4 years experience in computer hardware and software systems;
  • Possesses very strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Strong orientation to customer service ;
  • Must be able to manage ambiguity and work in fast paced environment;
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities;
  • Bilingual/multilingual a definite plus
