About KIPP Delta Public Schools:


The mission of KIPP Delta Public Schools is to create and support schools that empower students from underserved communities to develop the knowledge, skills, and character traits necessary to pursue a college education and a life of value, joy, and integrity.


We are a growing network of public schools offering a free, college-preparatory education to children in the Arkansas Delta. Across our four schools in Helena and Blytheville, we currently serve over 1,120 students and 80 alumni.



Position Overview:


KIPP Blytheville College Preparatory School is one of four schools in the KIPP Delta Public Schools network. Our Blytheville campus will expand from one school to three over the next several years. Given its success, the KIPP model has been featured on Oprah60 Minutes, and in the Wall Street Journal. KIPP Delta Collegiate was recently named the #2 high school in Arkansas by US News and World Report.

The School Nurse is a key member of KIPP Blytheville College Preparatory School. This position will report to the Director of Operations and is responsible for supporting BCPS's efforts in ensuring that every KIPPster has their health and wellness needs met as they climb the mountain to and through college. 

The School Nurse will be expected to utilize the American Nurse's Association Nursing Process to promote and improve student health. Duties will include, but are not limited to, administering medication to students as neccessary, attending to students' health and wellness needs during the school day, administering school-wide hearing and vision screening, and maintaining a database of accurate and well-organized student medical records.



An ideal candidate for KIPP Blytheville's School Nurse will:


* Possess a strong commitment to improving the health and wellness of all students at BCPS.

* Be registered by the state of Arkansas to practice Nursing.

* Possess a valid, unencumbered Arkansas LPN or RN license.

* Be certified to perform CPR.

* Possess at least two years of nursing experience, ideally in a school setting.
