Job Description

Regional Sales Manager

Eurotech is seeking a Regional Sales Manager for the central United States.  This individual contributor must be a proven sales executive in the embedded computing field with demonstrated experience exceeding sales goals and selling complex solutions to engineering development teams.  The Regional Sales Manager will report to the Director of Sales and work closely with the Inside Sales Manager.

 Major Responsibilities:

  • Drive revenue in key new accounts within the territory.  Identify, prospect, and qualify new opportunities.
  • Manage an indirect team of manufacturer sales representatives in assigned territory
  • Promote all aspects of sales and service to clients, partners, and vendors. 
  • Set performance standards, plan sales activities, and measure success. Conduct sales forecasting, pipeline management, and territory management. General duties include motivating, planning, organizing, and coordinating all sales activities in region.
  • Manage existing accounts for satisfaction, return on their investment, growth, and renewal.
  • Manage complex sales cycle, including mapping of sophisticated accounts, development of high level relationships, planning and executing sophisticated account strategies, and development of business cases.
  • Work as a member of the North American sales team.  Collaborate, share your account knowledge, experience, and best practices to help your teammates. 

Desired Qualifications:

  • The demonstrated ability to manage a complex sales cycle with significant business and technical components. 
  • Demonstrated ability to sell a technical solution to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • An understanding of the hardware and software development process and of the challenges that hardware engineers, software engineers, managers, and executives face on a daily basis.
  • Executive presence and the ability to comfortably scale up and down the organization.
  • Smart, creative, energetic, conscientious, and enthusiastic persona with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Excellent analytical and presentation skills.
  • Enjoy fast-paced, energetic environment.  Entrepreneurial and results-oriented.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrate personal integrity and the ability to exercise good business judgment.
  • Minimum 8-10 years experience in account sales and management working in the embedded computing space.
  • BS degree in a technical field such as engineering or computer science or related technical experience is required.  
  • Road warrior with ability to travel up to 80% throughout the central US.
  • Based near a major airport to accommodate travel throughout the region and to company headquarters in Columbia, Maryland.
