Athens Technical College in Athens, Georgia seeks an Adjunct Instructor to teach afternoon Introduction to Computers (COMP 1000) classes on the Greene County campus beginning August 26, 2013. The successful applicant will be expected to implement course materials that support stated initiatives and use appropriate techniques to provide students with the knowledge needed to achieve the learning outcomes for Introduction to Computers (COMP 1000).

Skills/Requirements | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Minimum Qualifications Must be available for Tuesday/Thursday afternoons. The minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in Business Education or Instructional Technology is required. Thorough knowledge of Office 2010 (Outlook 2012, Word 2012, Excel 2010, Access 2010, PowerPoint 2010) and Windows 7 software is required. Knowledge of ANGEL or other learning management system software is required. Preferred Qualifications A master’s degree in Business Education or Instructional Technology is preferred. Two years prior teaching experience at the post-secondary level is preferred. The ability to make presentations using advanced media technology, such as distance learning and online learning applications, is preferred. Knowledge of SAM skills assessment software is preferred.
