EN Engineering is actively searching for an experienced individual who has knowledge and experience working with OSHA’s PSM standard, specifically in the area of Process Safety Information.  An ideal candidate may have experience within the chemical and/or refining industries to ensure PSI compliance with OSHA 1910.119 as well as specific client guidelines and standards.  



The job would require an individual to work both independently and within a group to ensure specific documents, information, and material is identified and documented into the proper document management systems.  The job would require an individual to effectively communicate with both on-site personnel as well as possible equipment vendors to obtain the required Process Safety Information needed for compliance.

  • Bachelors degree in engineering from an ABET accredited university or equivalent technical degree in either Chemical and/or Mechanical Engineering is preferred
  • Technical knowledge and familiarity with refinery equipment, equipment records, documentation, drawings and code papers;
  • Knowledge of codes, government regulations;
  • Ability to read and understand Engineering Standards and Specifications, Engineering and equipment drawings, and Industry Codes and Standards such as ASME, API, NBIC, OSHA PSM regulation and interpretations, etc.;
  • Ability to assess equipment documents and documentation to determine its relevance, and if it meets documentation requirements of various internal and external Codes, Standards and Specifications;
  • Ability to research equipment Vendor information from online sources and determine its relevance to other data and records;
  • Experience using Microsoft Windows, Office, Adobe Reader, data to access and navigate systems to find information;
  • Ability to communicate effectively to other refinery personnel at same or higher levels, and to communicate effectively with Vendors to acquire equipment technical information.
