The area: Mission Critical Construction

The Mission Critical Construction team works together to install, maintain, troubleshoot and perform testing activities on various pathways, peripherals, LANs, WANs, RF systems, and other related low-voltage communications and network systems. Working on-site at locations deemed mission critical (data centers, industrial manufacturing and others), the team has the opportunity to display its responsiveness, expertise, intuition and flexibility in solving on-the-job problems. The Mission Critical Construction team works simultaneously on several different projects and thus creates an opportunity for all-around learning and professional growth.


The role: Safety Administrator

Administer and coordinate a wide range of tasks and assignments related to maintaining a safe work environment. Identify and anticipate safety concerns and hazards, monitor compliance, enforce and recommend safety systems, policies and procedures aligned with OSHA, and NYS regulations. 



  • Responsible for updating and maintaining nfrastructure’s safety program manual with assistance from expert consultants. 
  • Develop, facilitate and maintain records for employee safety training and recertification. 
  • Develop and update course content for the classroom-based safety program overview that is given to employees.
  • Schedule required training for lift truck, PPE (personal protective equipment), lock out / tag out, confined spaces, fire extinguisher and other safety programs
  • Identify and anticipate safety concerns and hazards, monitor compliance with, enforce and recommend safety systems, policies and procedures aligned with OSHA, and NYS regulations. 
  • Develop, maintain and update all site specific safety binders and ensure safety audits are taking place on customer locations.
  • Create, deploy and delegate routine safety inspections at nfrastructure locations as well as on customer work sites. Participate in post-accident investigation protocols. 
  • In coordination with HR respond to safety concerns, complaints and issues raised by investigating, analyzing and making a determination of need.
  • Work with HR and Safety Consultants to develop and deliver safety training and re-certifications.
  • Assist field management with loss control efforts including hazard assessment and control, compliance assessments and establishment of behavioral safety systems
  • Work with PMO and Sales to evaluate customer safety requirement needs, in conjunction with HR complete required paperwork for all job bids that pertain to safety.



  • Associate’s degree in technical field desirable
  • 5+ years related experience, e.g. facilities safety, construction, building maintenance; specialized training in safety, building systems and maintenance
  • OSHA General Industry Outreach Trainer and 30-Hour Course certification required
  • Intermediate knowledge of OSHA and NYS safety regulations as well as confined space and emergency response training
  • Courses or certifications in safety related areas also desirable
  • Must have a driving record that would not limit or prevent driving on behalf of the company
