The area: Mission Critical Construction

The Mission Critical Construction team works together to install, maintain, troubleshoot and perform testing activities on various pathways, peripherals, LANs, WANs, RF systems, and other related low-voltage communications and network systems. Working on-site at locations deemed mission critical (data centers, industrial manufacturing and others), the team has the opportunity to display its responsiveness, expertise, intuition and flexibility in solving on-the-job problems. The Mission Critical Construction team works simultaneously on several different projects and thus creates an opportunity for all-around learning and professional growth.

 

The role: Quality Control Manager

This position is responsible for the implementation and management of nfrastructure’s Quality Control Program, including the coordination, performance and execution of construction inspection and testing services for the project. The QC Manager is responsible for assuring that the quality of the work meets or exceeds the project’s contractual requirements, and maintains the standard of excellence established.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Implementing the QA/QC management system at required site
  • Coordinate quality inspections with all the site sub-contractors and vendors
  • Work with customer representatives on all quality related matters
  • Coordinate all receipt inspections
  • Create and Distribute relevant QA/QC documentation to site subcontractors
  • Responsible for verifying that the quality related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and standards
  • Participate in internal and external site audits when needed
  • Coordinate all the quality site inspections through the customer site QC inspectors
  • Ensure all quality control documentation is compliant and complete for as-built hand over through the PMO
  • Control all nonconformance reports and undertake remedial action
  • Compete site quality control instructions and take action for remedial responses
  • Review the customers specification and undertake relevant training requirements including ensuring all other employees have done the same at the customer site
  • Create, verify and monitor the implementation of the approved site QC Plan
  • Complete and coordinate the approval of the sites QC technical submittals to the customer
  • Coordinate with the site construction manager on all quality issues and ensure that all issues are addressed.  Raise any issues needing it to management’s attention.
  • Assure all technical documents relative to site quality control are current status and up meeting all state and customer requirements

 

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree (AA, AS, AAS) in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5 years of Quality Control related experience, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of construction, engineering, procurement, industry standards, and other project-related activities, their interfaces and interdependencies.
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must have a clean valid Driver’s License
