Job Description

Review work schedule, perform safety check on power equipment, obtain pallets, work orders and prepare for operations.
 Work from receiving and out-bound transfer schedules, purchase orders, standard forms, computer system, assist Group Leader with established procedures and practices, written and /or verbal instructions.
Train, instruct, assign, check and review work of team members as to standards of performance, company policies and procedures.
Expedite and balance workloads based upon orders, schedules for receiving, shipping, anticipate problems (delays) and take corrective action as necessary to meet schedules.
Receive material orders, trip schedules, available truckers; work from established trip schedule to coordinate loading sequence. 
Issue and coordinate loading orders, schedules, stickers, pick lists to picker/loaders, monitor accuracy and timeliness of loading.
 Prepare, complete and maintain various records, files and written checklist maintenance of electric walkers/riders and fork lift trucks
 Perform count check of incoming freight delivered to the staging area, prepare and place identification stickers on palletized items.
Enter received and/or transferred data into computer system and complete receiving forms as required.
Transport items to freezer storage areas in warehouse with forklift, power jack or hand truck locate the proper slot on the storage racks
Locate the proper slot on the storage racks for the product and set it in place with the Forklift or by hand if needed.
Rotate date-sensitive stock to the front of the rack or remove from inventory if out dated according to company policy.
Perform damage control checks on new and existing stock and remove or re-package according to company policy.
Disperse over-stocked items to available slots for temporary storage.
Remove empty pallets, cardboard packing, and strapping to the proper area or receptacles.
Load stock onto out-bound trailers for transfer to other facilities according to orders and ensure count accuracy.
Ensure adherence to and observe all safety practices, procedures, rules and regulations. 
Remove batteries requiring recharging, replace with charged batteries; add water to batteries and complete vehicle inspection checklist.
Perform other similar duties as requested by supervisor, report equipment malfunctions, material defects and conditions to supervisor. 
Perform general housekeeping duties and keep warehouse area, loading dock and trailers clear and clean as required.
At the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.

  • Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position.
  • Must complete physical, medical and drug testing as required.
  • Must pass company physical and strength test.
  • Must submit to CORI check and not possess any significant criminal record as determined by the appropriate authorities.



  • Must have High School Diploma / GED.
  • Must have foodservice, warehouse or related experience.
  • Must have experience operating Forklift / Power jack.
  • Must have basic math skills. (Add, Subtract, Multiply, Divide)
  • Must have basic computer skills and fundamentals.
  • Must complete Forklift/ Power Jack training and obtain certificate.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended period of time.
  • Must complete “Lock-out / Tag-out training.
  • Must maintain the physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
