The area: Consulting and Managed Services - Infrastructure Services
The Consulting and Managed Services department engages itself directly with customers in order to best assess organizational infrastructure needs. Members of Consulting and Managed Services are responsible for finding relevant solutions and providing advice based on industry experience.
The role: Cisco CCIE Solutions Engineer
As the Cisco CCIE Solutions Engineer, your primary focus is to lead, plan, implement, and support complex designs. You’ll also be responsible for active participation in the planning, design and implementation of route/switch systems, including datacenter design criteria, infrastructure, and related hardware for customers. The Cisco CCIE Solutions Engineer will deliver high-quality solutions to nfrastructure customers, and will ensure that the provided technical designs are consistent with business objectives.
  • Manage a team of engineers on large projects to implement complex designs, including resource allocation and overall project budgeting duties in cooperation with nfrastructure’s Project Management Office
  • Participate in the planning, design, and implementation of route/switch systems
  • Prepare high-level design documents and presentations that clearly describe design principles, including the rationale and potential implications of decisions/options
  • Occasionally assist Account Executives supporting nfrastructure’s Sales process by educating the customer about new Cisco technologies and methodologies
  • Conduct design sessions, customer presentations and occasional end-user training
  • Implement test plans, migration plans and delivery plans
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, and provide solutions to complex hardware/software problems
  • Network and application troubleshooting of complex issues
  • Assist in the management of projects using MS Project Contribute to product development and written proposals
  • Designed highly redundant, scalable, and secure LAN and WAN solutions for multiple clients.
  • Project lead on various internal and external network installations, migrations, and upgrades
  • Planning and implementing network migrations and replacements with minimal downtime.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
  • 5-7 years of experience delivering complex technical solutions including planning, development, rollout and support experience with complex data communications systems
  • CCIE certification
  • Proven knowledge and experience with router configuration, Datacenter and other Cisco Systems strategic architectures
  • Experience with Cisco security platforms, including ASA and IPS.
  • Experience with F5 load balancing and security products, including LTM, GTM, and ASM.
  • Experience with server and desktop virtualization (Cisco, Citrix and VMware) plus network support of virtual environments utilizing Cisco Nexus 1000V and Cisco Nexus 1010 products.
  • Expereince working with build tools like Netformx to customize hardware for clients. Implementation/Deployment experience with Cisco route/switch technologies
  • Experience with Microsoft Visio drawings, high level design documents, and dataflow narratives
  • Experience with LDAP and/or Active Directory, Exchange and Microsoft core infrastructure technologies
  • Superior organizational skills and the ability to effectively multi-task
  • Ability to effectively perform in a team environment
  • Professional attitude and demeanor towards clients, partners and peers
  • Ability to work weekends and/or off hours as necessary to meet clients’ needs
  • Ability to travel an average of 25% of scheduled hours, with occasional overnight travel
  • CCVP certification preferred
