Job Description

Deliver assigned BIM-CAD projects for our Pacific Northwest offices to meet client requirements, project goals, and Degenkolb quality standards. Assist in managing document-production planning and execution for assigned projects. Develop area of expertise for BIM/CAD operations via professional development.

Key Result Areas:
• Project planning and execution.
o Participate in document production as a part of the modeling/drafting team in assigned projects.
o Maintain efficient and well-organized BIM/CAD project folders.
o Assist in resolving BIM/CAD planning and coordination issues to meet schedule and budget goals.

• Quality assurance.
o Identify, comprehend, and follow the BIM/CAD standards applicable to assigned projects when drafting and modeling. 
o Frequentlly review project modeling and drafting work to ensure accuracy and correct technique. 

• Company-wide initiatives.
o Assist in updating Degenkolb BIM/CAD User Guidelines.
o Participate in the Degenkolb Technical Conference.

• Communication
o Meet with project teammates daily to share updates on project status.

• Professional development.
o Comply with Life-long Learning Program requirements.

Skills/Requirements

Required:

1. 2+ years of Revit experience working with structural engineering or architecture firms.
2. 2+ years of AutoCAD experience working with structural engineering or architectural firms.
3. Proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
4. Able to create construction drawings, following a prescribed drawing and modeling standards, through all phases of design and construction.
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction and coordination with staff and clients in different geographic locations.
6. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
8. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
9. Willingness to pursue continued education on BIM and other CAD programs and skill sets.
 

Desired/Preferred:

1. Proficiency in Autodesk Revit Structure 2011 through 2013.
2. Experience in managing construction-document production from start to finish.
3. Experience working with Tekla, NavisWorks, and other BIM software.
