This position requires an individual who is a self-starter that succeeds in a fast paced environment. The Project Manager that fills this role will manage the software development life cycle from translation of business requirements, to user story development, and through to implementation and production rollout.. You must be able to adjust and move between projects and have the ability to successfully manage parallel product efforts and release timelines. Experience working with Agile and Kanban teams is required to succeed in the role.
Manages, coordinates, and establishes priorities for complete life-cycle of projects including the planning, design, programming, testing, and implementation of business solutions.
Designs project plans, which identify needs and define major tasks and milestones, based on scope, resources, budget, and personnel.
Determines project needs and works with other teams to acquire resources necessary for the success of the project.
Identifies, communicates and manages risk throughout the project life-cycle
Proactively identifies and resolves issues that impede team productivity
Manages the appropriate dissemination of critical project information to the appropriate audiences
Provides direction and technical guidance to project team members.
Acts as liaison between implementation personnel, management, and vendors by conducting meetings to review project details and obtain approval and signoffs.
Accountable for all project deliverables, including project deadlines
Possesses working knowledge of technical resources such as operating systems, programming languages, and hardware
Effectively presents project status and issues to top management and/or boards of directors.
REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5 years of experience in software development/project management efforts
Minimum 4 years software lifecycle and release management (iterative and/or Agile) of multiple competing projects
Minimum 3 years facilitation skills and experience, including thought leadership, product demonstrations, and issue management.
Experience with .NET and MS SQL database technologies and functions including ETL and data conversions/migrations.
Proficient in TFS (or like tool) as well as MS Office Products, MS Project, PowerPoint, Visio
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Software Development, Technology or related field.
Experience with EMR/EHR systems a plus
PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification or equivalent preferred
