Design Assurance Engineer supports the development of new products by leading test services to Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality Departments. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and direct test engineering efforts for systems and subsystems.
• Produce reliable test engineering records
• Plan, Develop, Evaluate and Document laboratory tests (in vitro, blood).
• Identify and recommend appropriate test methodologies and lead the development of new test procedures.
• Analyze and report test results, provide conclusions and recommendations.
• Contribute to specification development and implementation.
• Comply with document control and process ECO’s/MPL’s
• Prepare internal and external reports
• Prepare and present internal and external presentations
• Contribute to the development of a work breakdown structure and a project plan using Microsoft Project.
• Chair project team meetings.
• Meet budget and schedule targets.
• Suggest and contribute to initiatives to improve Engineering Department’s operations and procedures.
• Provides direction to junior and support staff. 
• Provides support to existing products as required.

Job Qualifications:

• BS degree in engineering (or equivalent in experience) required.  MS preferred.
• 8 years experience, 3 years experience with medical device products.
• Ability to Communicate ideas and information clearly, effectively, and frequently (oral and written)
• Ability to exercise judgment methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. 
• Execute tasks in a timely manner without direct supervision.
• Able to prioritize tasks.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Working knowledge of SAP desired.
