Job Description

Assists in supervising loan operations within a specified segment of the market area. Makes recommendations regarding loan policy and underwriting guidelines. Guides and directs activities of loan origination personnel under immediate control and has supervisory responsibility over select loan origination personnel.

 

30%       Assigns, directs, coordinates, and reviews daily work of staff. Communicates loan policy, loan product information and underwriting guidelines to loan personnel by interacting and supervising daily operations of assigned staff. Coordinates monthly staff meetings to ensure staff is educated.

15%       Provides standard underwriting reviews for retail loan origination staff as needed.

15%       Reviews and monitors loan production volume for processing and origination. Ensures all loans are approved or closed out appropriately in a timely manner.

15%       Promotes the sales of bank insurance products and retail services. Trains and motivates subordinate personnel to do the same.

10%       Responsible for coordinating training and support of the assigned staff.

10%       Identifies and implements ways to gain operational efficiencies and promote the growth of employees and business relationships. Recommends departmental goals.

5%   Provides input for hiring, reviewing and evaluating performance of subordinate personnel and recommends salary adjustments, promotions and discharges for assigned personnel.

0%   Must comply with current applicable laws, regulations and bank policies and procedures

 

Hours:  Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm

Skills/Requirements

Three years to five years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.

Has experience interpreting lending policies and procedures, including State and Federal lending regulations. Has a working knowledge of Affordable Housing Programs and underwriting guidelines.

A high school degree or equivalent
