SumTotal Systems, Inc. is looking to hire one Legal Intern for its Gainesville, FL office. The Legal Intern will be expected to be able to conduct research on a variety of issues and topics, draft memoranda, prepare correspondence and assist the SumTotal Legal Department with their duties. Solid writing skills are essential and we are looking for someone who is hard working and has excellent attention to detail.
Develop and maintain filing, docket, billing, and other departmental organization systems and process.
Responsible for full-spectrum administrative tasks such as filing, copying, scheduling, travel, and expense reports.
Serve as information source and liaison between company attorneys, other executives and departments, and outside counsel.
Draft letters, minutes, resolutions, reports, and other materials.
Assemble, proof, and edit drafts of contracts, licenses, and the like.
Conduct research and other special projects.
Prepare and file legal documents with appropriate entities.
Other duties as needed.
Must be either a 2L or 3L in law school
Strong word processing skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; must type 60 WPM minimum.
Proven writing, editing and organizational skills; strong prioritization skills; ability to multi-task.
Proven ability to tackle time-sensitive, confidential issues with composure and minimal direction.
Professional demeanor and utmost integrity critical.
