This leadership position is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, directing, supervision, training and monitoring of all therapeutic staff and respective programming for both the inpatient program and outpatient clinic. Incumbent will affirm protocols and therapeutics are consistent with the applicable policies, procedures and regulations. The Clinical Supervisor will be in charge in the absence of the Program Director.

Work Schedule:
The basic work schedule is 8 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. It will be necessary to flex the days and work hours to accommodate the need to have a presence on all shifts 7 days a week to manage staff on the inpatient units.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, direct and control all therapeutic staffing and program components and services.
Plan, organize and conduct training programs for therapeutic and direct care personnel for both new and current employees in the facility.
Develop, write and coordinate training curriculum in conjunction with the Program Director.
Deliver therapeutic services that are consistent with and coordinated with the multidisciplinary operation of the WBHC treatment program and facility using the most current methodologies.
Maintain compliance with applicable codes, rules, regulations, and hospital policies and procedures.
Deliver therapeutic services and programming in an efficient, effective manner within administrative, fiscal and security guidelines.
Maintain the employment, credentialing, utilization and maintenance of an appropriate number of trained, qualified staff.
Assess needs for training to maintain the competencies of staff to deliver the responsibilities and duties of their positions and collaborate training with WBHC Nurse Educators.
Supervise some group-based therapeutic activities.
Guide staff in maintaining a safe, orderly and human therapeutic milieu.
Coordinate day-to-day operations, including training in relevant areas of behavioral with other staff in the hospital.
Complete on-call responsibilities as needed.
Perform other duties (not outlined above) as assigned.
Skills/Requirements
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
Licensed in New York.
Five years progressively responsible experience in providing clinical services in a psychiatric facility or behavioral health program with 3 years experience in an multidisciplinary program or services at the supervisory level.
Knowledge of psychosocial rehabilitation, cognitive-behavioral treatment and mental health theories, concepts and methods.
Ability to supervise staff, assign and coordinate work activities, and monitor staff performance.
Ability to provide effective program leadership over multidisciplinary management and treatment planning and service delivery teams.
Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills, including ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with a wide range of personalities.
Competence in assessing, interviewing, and managing criminal and forensic patients.
