Job Description

The Adjunct Faculty Development Coordinator will serve to support the HR staff in the successful development, coordination and presentation of adjunct faculty orientation, onboarding, training, and development programs designed to educate and enhance adjunct faculty performance.  This individual will work within the policies and procedures established by the university and will work professionally and collaboratively with various internal and external constituencies to support and strengthen the current and future pool of qualified adjunct faculty. 

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.  Work hours are typically 8:00 to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday but will include some evening and weekend hours.  Occasional trips to off-campus sites will be required.

This position requires professionalism in appearance and communication, the ability to work in a fast-paced, goal oriented environment, as well as the ability to maintain confidential information in a professional manner. 

The successful candidate for this position will possess the ability to provide support for adjunct faculty training, professional development, orientation, and onboarding activities.  The ability to provide support in program planning and execution to include on- and off-site event planning, data entry into University's ERP (Banner), data compilation related to follow-up studies of all completed programs to assist in evaluating and measuring results, and additional duties supporting the Human Resource department is required.

A high school diploma is required, bachelor's degree preferred.  Two years of similar experience required.  Experience in planning quality events highly desired.  Experience working in higher education a significant plus.  Strong computer skills are required and candidates selected for interview may be required to take online skills testing in MS Office applications as well as customer service and business writing.
