Abiomed is looking for an Inside Service Sales Representative. Primary responsibility is to increase revenue through selling service agreements to existing customers that own Abiomed equipment.  Other responsibilities include support of sales efforts to the field sales organization as it relates to service agreements.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create and update quotes for service agreements using MS Word.
  • Use Salesforce.com to schedule activities, enter data/notes as needed, create and manage opportunities, create and/or edit contact information, etc.
  • High level interaction with Customers (ranging from Office Managers to C-level Administration), Abiomed Field Sales Organization, Customer Service, Field Service, Regional Directors and Abiomed Executive staff where necessary.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for distribution to Customers, Sales and Executive Management
  • Disseminate information about program details to customers and the US Commercial Sales Team.
  • Update account, contact and case report records in SalesForce.com and SAP.
  • Work on special projects as needed.

General Requirements:

  • Associates Degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years related experience in Inside Sales, preferably in the Healthcare industry.
  • Able to communicate proficiently with customers, sales team and Corporate personnel at all levels
  • Requires understanding and experience of sales and forecasting processes.
  • A solid understanding of contract processes and ability to work with and interface with legal Departments, liaising with our legal Department where needed
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word, is required.
  • Familiarity with SAP and SalesForce.com strongly preferred.
  • Must possess good troubleshooting skills to resolve customer service issues.
  • Able to prioritize tasks and to handle a high volume of work in a very busy department.
  • Ability to stagger working hours, if needed.
