Job Description



The User Experience Designer (UXD) works with the Product Team to develop wire frames, style guides, and user experiences for the interface of medical software to be marketed to the healthcare industry. The UXD with a graphic design emphasis may also be asked to design graphics or logos, add detail to the style guide, and create high fidelity mock ups. This individual will work with other UXDs, Business Analysts, developers, Quality Assurance team members, Product Managers, and medical professionals to design a leading edge, web-based software product for healthcare professionals.



  • Translate and conceptualize the subject matter experts’ workflows into designs to be used in user stories
  • Render low and high fidelity mock ups in Adobe Illustrator
  • Create icons and support graphics for the application and some marketing collateral
  • Render screen flow diagrams
  • Help create and maintain application style guides
  • Provide creative UI solutions within established standards
  • Work through UI design problems and assist in defining UI rules in a team setting
  • Occasionally develop prototypes

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or related field, or  3 to 5 years’ experience in visual design
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in graphic design, web site / application design, information architecture or 3 to 5 years related experience
  • Team oriented individual who is able to turn abstract ideas into visible images
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Word, and Adobe Photoshop
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure with careful attention to detail
  • Knowledge and understanding of information architecture
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and visual communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Ability to find simple solutions to complex problems
