The Data Entry/Front Office Clerk will be responsible for:
Inputting data into EMR, patient record/Scan charts into EMR.
Attention to detail and organization skills.
Responsible for scanning documents, document control, take initiative to catch errors, and present those errors back to management.
Cross train and learn front desk duties
Answer phones, take messages for office and schedule appointments for patients.
Fill in for check in and check out positions as needed.
Must have general computer knowledge as well as good typing skills for data entry purposes.
Coordinate records requests.
Monitor all incoming faxes/indexing into EMR system and distributing as necessary
Help patients fill out paperwork as needed.
Must have 1 year office experience in a medical environment
Must be able to type at least 40WPM.
Must have exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Must be familiar with insurance cards and strong medical terminology.
Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
Must have experience with PC- based business applications software such as Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
Proper English grammar, usage, spelling, and punctuation; modern business office procedures, including filing systems, business correspondence, and telephone techniques.
Excellent interpersonal skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to operate standard office machines and equipment, including telephones, computers, copy machines, fax machines, calculators scanners, and shredders.
Work Environment & Physical Demands: Constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness. Ability to use a computer to input and retrieve information and data. Ability to work on feet during scheduled work hours.
