We are seeking a Program Manager with Air Force software sustainment/development experience, PMP Certification or equivalent experience. Project Management experience as either a contractor or government employee supporting software development and/or sustainment of Air Force IT programs is required, preferably within Air Force Lifecycle Management Center (AFLCMC) organizations at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
At least 5 (five) years of total IT experience, including at least 2 years USAF PM experience managing technical staff and solving complex IT project management issues in accordance with USAF/DOD laws, regulations and procedures.
In-depth knowledge of and experience with IT Project Management processes in a USAF environment including, but not limited to; industry standard Project Management principles and practices such as those defined by the PMI in the PMBOK Guide.
Hands-on technical background as a software developer, database administrator, security engineer, or system administrator desired, but not essential.
Previous experience as a functional user of AFLCMC systems also useful for the position.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group including executives, managers, and USAF technical subject matter experts.
Successful candidates will work locally in Dayton area and must possess or be able to obtain a DOD security clearance (US Citizenship required.) Infrequent travel to customer sites elsewhere in CONUS possible (5-10%).
Knowledge of current AFLCMC IT programs such as Mission Planning and Execution (MP&E), Weapon Systems Management Information System (WSMIS), Stock Control System (SCS), Reliability and Maintainability Information System (REMIS), Key Decision Support System (KDSS) and associated AFLCMC organizational structures/processes highly desired.
PMP certification strongly desired, but candidates without certification that have extensive directly relevant experience will be considered.

• Capable of generating software development/sustainment related artifacts in Microsoft Project

• Regular interaction with employees, subcontractors and the government client.
