Northwest Trustee Services, Inc. (NTS), a full service trustee company providing default services to mortgage lenders in the Northwest, is currently recruiting for a Title Resolution Assistant for our Lake Oswego office!

NTS is the leading provider of foreclosure services in the Pacific Northwest.


The Title Resolution Assistant assists the Title Resolution Specialists and Lead in the title resolution process. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  .

  • Drafts documents to clear title.
  • Verifies pertinent information to facilitate the process to clear title by doing research.
  • Provides administrative support for the Specialists, Sr. Specialists, Lead and Supervisor.
  • Requests and follows up on documents from clients and title companies.
  • Provides status reports to clients as requested.
  • Assists with drafting faxes, letters, and other correspondence.
  • Prepares and sends out mailings.
  • Scans documents into files.
  • Makes phone calls to counties, title companies, and clients as requested by specialists and lead.
  • Monitors client systems for update requests.
  • Acknowledges and assigns incoming files.
  • Assists with special projects as assigned by Specialists, Sr. Specialists, Lead, and Supervisor.
  • Other duties may be assigned

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) and at least one year of related experience and/or training in any combination of title examiner or curative background, preferably with real estate owned (REO) experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills:

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, and Outlook.   Experience with Access is a plus.

Language Skills, Mathematical and Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instruction, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. 
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.  Keyboarding is required.  The employee is required to talk and must be able to read documents in electronic and hard copy form.  The employee is occasionally required to stand and reach with hands and arms.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. 

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate consisting of usual business office sounds including but not limited to computers, printers, telephones, and light foot traffic.
