Job Description

We have an excellent opportunity for a Buyer/Re-Order who will be based at our Corporate office. This individual will be responsible for providing administrative and organizational support to the Buying Office including the input and follow-up of purchase orders, products assortment tasks, and communication with both internal and external parties.

Responsibilities include:
Work with ordering system in reviewing merchandise lead times, forecasts, trends, and seasonality.
Work with warehouse and suppliers on delivery on delivery problems, back orders, sale items, merchandise returns, new items, and product distribution, etc.
Work with Accounting on any billing discrepancies.
Ensure that purchase orders are placed and documented on a daily basis.
Track all orders to assure appropriate on-time delivery.
Provide organizational reports as determined by the Buyer.
Prepare and generate documentation as requested by the Buyer.
Assemble, calculate and maintain reporting and statistical data for merchandise.
Perform other administrative and clerical tasks and completes special projects as assigned.
Communicate effectively with clients, vendors and other professionals.
Respond to inquiries, handle or refer issues as appropriate while conveying a positive image of the Company.
Keep management apprised of activities and important information.
Perform other related duties and functions as required.

Skills/Requirements

Knowledge/Competencies
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint.
High level of efficiency with internet and other web-based tools.
Strong interpersonal skills; verbal and written as well as strong customer relationship skills.
Solid analytical, creative and problem solving abilities.
Strong organizational and project management skills, able to multi-task.
Ability to work well both independently as well as in a team.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of previous experience as an Assistant Buyer/Re-Order or two to three years of office coordination experience.
Able to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.
Able to interpret industry data and make decisions under supervision.
Perform basic mathematical calculations on a regular basis.
Ability to successfully negotiate in marketing and buying situations.
