Job Summary The primary role of the Proposal Coordinator is to strategically and competitively position Franklin Covey training and consulting services through Request For Proposal (RFP) responses from inception to delivery to ultimately win contracts. Through training, this individual will acquire expertise on Franklin Covey offerings including tools, work sessions and training components for our solutions to secure contracts. This is a part time position working up to 20 hours per week. Will consider candidates in Irvine, CA or Utah. Essential Job Functions o Serves as key initiator to write/review RFP responses and coordinate with technical and/or management personnel to ensure accuracy of composition and format ensuring compliance with solicitation requirements. o Oversee the process for submitting RFP’s for conducting business - often under tight deadlines. o Write various proposal sections, including executive summaries, past performance/qualification summaries and resumes using a variety of resources including our standard / core database, marketing collateral, company web sites and other various resources. o Strategically identify, qualify and ultimately win major impact contract awards. o Understand strategic, business and market planning within organization. o Formalize and establish business objectives, data gathering, analysis, prioritization, and action planning as the process relates to responding to contract requests. o Develop, coordinate and disseminate proposal documents including coordination and production of written and oral response presentations. o Assist in maintaining proposal library – both hard copy and electronic including boilerplate material inventory, bid opportunities and proposal wins/losses. Requirements Position requires experience with Request s For Proposals (RFP) including project management, writer and gatherer of information from beginning to completion of the process. The ideal candidate must possess excellent writing and verbal skills. High proficiency in advanced features of MS Word with knowledge of other software tools such as Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Publisher, InDesign) is essential. Organization skills, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and multitask in a dynamic environment working under tight deadlines are required. A well-developed pattern of achievement, competitive skills, energy, motivation, enthusiasm, and integrity is critical to success in this role. Very strong verbal and written communications skills are essential; must be able to create and deliver compelling, polished sales presentations and proposals to senior leaders.
