Job Description:Service Help Desk Dispatcher

 

Department:         Engineering / Building Services

 

Responsible To:   Director of Engineering; Asst. Dir. Engineering; Work Control Coordinator

 

Education/Training:            High School diploma or equivalent

 

Experience/Qualifications:                Must be customer oriented, and have basic computer skills; previous work experience demonstrating customer satisfaction skills, with the aptitude to perform some basic computer operations such as opening and closing work orders

 

Physical Requirements:                      Ability to deal with stressful situations, (multi-task); work involves sitting most of the time, may involve walking, standing, stooping and reaching for brief periods of time.

 

Occupational Exposure:    Category III = Job involves tasks or procedures that have no exposure to blood and other potentially infectious materials during the performance of duties.

  

Skills/Requirements

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES             

  1. Acts as the single point of contact for all types of service requests.
  2. Receives maintenance related phone calls, written requests, emails, or other electronic maintenance requests.
  3. Dispatches requests to supervisors and/or staff via phone, pager etc.
  4. Enters work orders into the work order system
  5. Follow up with supervisors, staff and / or customers as needed to ensure excellent customer satisfaction
  6. As work is completed; documents and closes out work orders
  7. Perform other job related duties as assigned by Director.
