Job Description

Established in 1981, Vein Clinics of America (VCA) is the largest medical group in the country dedicated solely to the treatment of all aspects of varicose vein disease. With 50 centers of excellence in 15 states, our knowledge and published research has helped lead the way for today’s safe and effective non-surgical treatment of varicose vein disease(VVD).

Vein Clinics of America is seeking a Corporate Controller to oversee the operational and corporate Accounting in our office Downers Grove, Illinois.  In this role you will serve as the principal liaison to VCA executives, and department directors on all accounting financial issues.   

Responsibilities:

  • Direct the preparation and distribution of monthly financial statements/reports, and analyze and interpret their financial and operating results.
  • Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements and related analysis to senior management,
  • Manage the development and preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
  • Assist the SVP of Corporate Operations with the preparation of benchmark reports and financial reporting packages for the Board of Directors and external parties.
  • Coordinate, review and where appropriate prepare selected month-end general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Prepare tax provisions and coordinate external tax review and tax return preparation.
  • Manage the Company’s daily cash and lending activities, and direct the operations of the accounts payable function.
  • Assist with the evaluation, analysis, due diligence and integration of all acquisitions
  • Monitor profitability of all new and existing payer contracts, and oversee preparation of the related cost reports and external proposal budgets.
  • Manage the year-end and quarterly audit processes.
  • Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations
  • Research abd support as nessary all accoubting and reporting issues.

 

 

Skills/Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelors in Accounting and a CPA required. Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or
  • Business Administration strongly preferred.
  • 5-7 years of accounting experience required, including at least three years of public accounting experience and at least five years of management experience, in a corporate environment of a multi-site organization.
  • Proven success in a fast-pace, growth-oriented, results-driven organization.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to work hands on, and become actively involved in all aspects of the accounting and finance function.
  • Health care industry experience is required in either a provider or insurer setting
