Job Description

Liberty Healthcare seeks a self-motivated professional with strong accounting and analytical skills for an available full-time Healthcare Compliance Auditor opportunity. A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field is required.

This is a field position within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Office of Long-Term Living - Quality Management Efficiency Team. Significant time (2-3 days / week average) will be spent traveling within the analyst's immediate region. Remaining work will be done at home. Reliable transportation and ability to initially pay travel costs required. Occasional overnight travel is required. All travel (including mileage) is reimbursed.

All monitoring activities are conducted using a laptop and Microsoft Office products; particularly Excel, Access and Word. Computer skills are essential. Laptop, mobile phone and work internet connection provided.

Primarily within the context of Care Agency financial review, job responsibilities include:

  • With team members - On-site agency auditing to verify services provided to clients are billed accurately.
  • Conducting financial reviews of billing practices with follow up reporting and analysis.
  • Provide technical assistance and act as a resource for exchange of information through verbal and/or written communication to enhance awareness of applicable financial state and federal regulations.
  • Act as a resource for dissemination of information, research and updates for compliance team members.
  • Assess whether the provider has maintained sound fiscal practices, billed the Department of Public Welfare properly, and used DPW funds in accordance with program guidelines.

Background

The Quality Management Efficiency Team is an entity within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Office of Long-Term Living and works closely with various State agencies which administer the joint state/federal Medical Assistance program (also known as Medicaid) that purchases health care for close to 1.9 million Pennsylvania residents.

Selected professional staff at the Quality Management Efficiency Team work through a collaborative arrangement and contract with Liberty Healthcare Corporation.

As an employee of Liberty Healthcare the selected applicant will receive:

  • Compensation: $17.95 per hour (approximately $35,003 per year)
  • $2,600 additional compensation annually for those employees who do not require health insurance
  • Mon-Fri; 37.5-hour work week - including travel time. No evenings. No weekends.

Skills/Requirements

Liberty Healthcare seeks candidates who have:
