Job Description

This position is responsible for sourcing and closing local merchants ($2Mi-$35Mil) in active markets to participate in Cartera owned and/or operated consumer loyalty programs.  Promotion of OfferLink program allows merchants to market offers linked to the payment and rewards programs already being used by consumers.

 

Responsibilities:

Account Executives will be required to meet proactive activity standards to achieve Local ($2 Mil- $15Mil) growth targets. This role requires excellent communication, organizational and closing skills.  

 

Competencies/Skills:

  • Business Development

o   Ability to generate sales leads for new local merchant acquisitions.

o   Strong closing and conflict resolution skills

o   Possess consultative sales approach in determining client needs

  • Achieve activity requirements

o    Meet proactive monthly sales call requirements to generate leads for Local merchants

o    Maintain minimum number of presentations daily

o    Strong hunting and prospecting skills

  • Execute sales process

o    Execute sales campaigns through the lens of the defined sales process

o    Use job aids to advance campaigns through sales process stages

o    Maintain all prospect activity in SFDC with specific opportunity related information

o    Maintain a 5:1 opportunity to growth target ratio

  • Oral Communication Skills:

o    Advanced level of verbal communication skills

o    Proficient with Microsoft suite of products

o    Effective communication skills with good customer service orientation

  • Written Communication Skills

o    Expresses ideas and opinions clearly in properly structured, well organized and grammatically correct reports or documents; utilizing language and terminology that is understandable to the reader

o    Ability to create compelling email messaging

  • Analytics:

o    Provide market analysis and reports with ability to interpret the marketing position, data, and return on investment

o    Mindset to see problems as opportunities and ability to develop proactive solutions

 

Skills/Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years related sales experience in advertising, marketing or media sales; selling to local merchants.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Work well in fast-paced, quota driven sales environment; thrives on competition.
  • Self-motivated with strong desire to succeed.
