As a Senior Account Manager at Go Daddy, you will be part of the domains team and will focus on management of our registry partners and growth of domain products.  You will provide a well-managed, profitable and growing business produced through relationship excellence and portfolio optimization practices. The Senior Account Manager will also use technical expertise and extensive industry experience to formulate product strategies and identify new opportunities.Developing project plans designed to address customer needs and/or expand market share are another responsibility.   This role will function as they main point of contact for registry partners and will define and drive programs across the Go Daddy organization and Reseller network.  The role is intended to both manage a small number of Tier 1 registry partners along with a staff of account managers.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop profitable and sustainable growth targets for assigned accounts/products.
  • Manage large complex accounts, internally and externally through all phases of the relationship and domain life cycle. 
  • Specifically, new gTLDs (onboarding) through established partners with mature products.
  • Develop key account plans for assigned accounts; implement account strategy.
  • Maintain thorough understanding of the customers’ end use markets, customers, and main competitors.
  • Implement and manage the effective delivery of key customer programs including communication strategies, training, issue resolution and analysis.
  • Establish and build strong working relationships with business leaders and your team members to ensure the successful delivery of requirements and services.
  • Investigate, track and resolve customer and client concerns; identify trends and implement solutions.
  • Manage the Account Managers to establish strong customer relationships and assist in growing within our existing and new client base.
  • Keep strong communication lines open with core team members and establish and maintain strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders and work teams.
  • Ensure optimal client feedback to Product Management or other departments with regard to product requirements and enhancements.
  • Coordinate the business Key Account strategies and plans with the activities and actions of other business unit at Key Accounts.
  • Determine customers’ unmet needs and translate internally for adequate follow up.
  • Establish and strengthen customer relationships with decision makers across functions and regions.
  • Manage the overall customer satisfaction and profitability of many of largest customers, including managed care accounts.
  • Retain and grow your assigned book of business including meeting or exceeding up sell targets.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of your customers’ business and their human capital and benefits issues and appropriately position value proposition with viable solutions to meet your customers’ needs.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Bachelor's degree or MBA Preferred
  • 5+ years account management experience 
  • Experience managing Tier 1 accounts
  • Experience implementing account strategies across matrixed organizations
  • Good organization skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical abilities
  • This role will require some travel - 20-25%
