The Registrar Operations Center Administrator performs system administration on Windows and Linux servers; supporting 24 x 7 Internet domain registration and maintenance in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This position interfaces with internal and external support teams.

*** The shift will be first and will include weekends***

 

In this role, you will:

  • Build/maintain Windows and Linux servers; installing/updating software
  • Proactively monitor and diagnose server, network and software related issues
  • Trouble shoot; document root cause, actions, impact and solutions; report appropriately
  • Recommend or develop productivity enhancements; including automated tools
  • Maintain productive relationships with internal and external partners
  • On call support as necessary with shift and weekend assignments
  • Meet Service Level Agreements and stated management objectives
  • Carefully follow Go Daddy practices and procedures (change management, etc.)  

Do you have what it takes?

  • Two/four year college, technology related degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008; Linux a plus
  • Communicate in a clear, concise and timely manner
  • Detail oriented; follow tasks through to successful conclusion
  • Use time effectively; both for yourself and with partners
  • Operate effectively with changing priorities and rapidly evolving issues
  • Learn new technologies, processes and procedures quickly and thoroughly
  • Gather information, work independently and create results with general direction
  • Maintain high degree of self-motivation
  • Additional preferred skills or experience
  • Windows Systems administrator; 1 to 5 years
  • Multiple server environment, 24 x 7 production support
  • Server and process monitoring technologies; CA-Spectrum
  • IIS (6 and 7), Active Directory, SCCM, Group Policy Objects
  • Scripting and automation (VB script, ASP, batch, Powershell)
  • Networking (firewalls, load balancers, etc.)
  • Web server technologies; security, caching, performance tuning, etc.
  • Ability to construct MS SQL queries for reporting analysis
  • C# programming
