The diversity of our operations has recently created an opportunity for a new Human Resources Assistant in our Enfield, Connecticut offices.

The Human Resources Administrator will communicate and administer the company health and welfare benefit programs.  This position will function as a liaison between employees and vendors resolving a multitude of issues.  Relies on experience and judgment to plan, accomplish goals and resolve problems.  Also, manages the unemployment claims for the company, serving as a liason with our external vendor and our managers.

Key Accountabilities:

  •   Customer Service - Responds to all associate and dependent inquiries including questions and issues, communicating outcomes in a timely manner.    Works directly with all carriers/representatives to ensure prompt and accurate resolution to employee and dependent problems. Listen to the customer’s needs and provide the appropriate solutions while maintaining/strengthening the customer relationship. 
  • Communications - Assists in updating communication medians, including the Intranet, new hire kits ongoing throughout the year. 
  •   Benefits Administration - Assists Benefits Specialist in maintaining benefits data and records to ensure that all eligibility/privacy requirements are met within all benefit plans.   Processes and audits information on our online benefit enrollment system. Prepares and audits benefit enrollment/eligibility and resolves issues. 
  •   Unemployment Compensation - Process all unemployment claims, working with external vendor and managers to adequately capture termination reasons, dates, and eligibility for unemployment compensation.

 

Skills/Requirements

  • Technical Skills: Customer Service Skills; Call Center / Service Center Skills; Organizational and Time Management Skills
  • Education: 4 year college degree preferred
  • Experience: 2+ years in a human resource or benefits department servicing employees
