This group provides site development, engineering, and construction expertise, integrated services, and fiber optic products. In addition, AFL’s Services Division manufactures, engineers, and installs fiber optic products and equipment to enable delivery of high-speed voice, video, and data services.

The T & E  Technician will be a member of the EF & I Services team and will be dedicated to adhering to procedures, focused on producing the best quality service, being highly productive and mindful of costs.

The Technician will be responsible for programming, troubleshooting and writing code in the technologies listed below in AT&T’s systems. 

 The successful candidate must meet a majority of the knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience requirements outlined below.

 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES              

  • Working knowledge of web and n-tier application development.
  • Working knowledge of Visual Studio.NET 2008/2010: C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, ADO.NET, LINQ and VB6.
  • Working knowledge of HTML / CSS / AJAX / JavaScript / jQuery scripting.
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server 2005 / 2008R2, T-SQL, Stored Procedure programming.
  • Experience in DTS Package SSIS migration.
  • Knowledge in COM+ components.
  • Good knowledge of basic Object-Oriented Design Patterns, Object Relational Mapping frameworks
  • Working knowledge of internet/intranet web-based technologies and architectures.
  • Working knowledge in writing windows application using SCRAPA.
  • Understanding of external dependencies and their effect on application design.
  • Adhere to and promote the environmental, health & safety policies of AFL.
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Skills/Requirements
  • A Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, related technical discipline, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of development experience in this type of position
  • 3+ years development experience with C/C++ or C#
  • Experience with Web development technologies (ASP.NET, XML, XSLT, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, IIS)
  • Working knowledge of Web Services and .NET technology stack
  • Solid communication skills
  • Ability to work closely and collaborate independently across a team
  • A passion for quality, for doing the right thing for the customer, the product, and the company 
  • MS SQL Server/TSQL
