Our Water Technology Group located in Denver, CO is currently seeking a Field Service Technician.  Superior candidates should be capable of working in extreme environmental conditions, have excellent electro-mechanical repair and troubleshooting skills, an excellent safety record, basic computer skills and the ability to complete multiple tasks on time.

 Typical responsibilities of the Field Service Technician are:

• Works alone or with others to install, service and maintain electro-mechanical equipment typically found in the water and wastewater industry frequently working under tight deadlines to prevent customers from going into environmental violation.
• Utilizes specific repair reports to accurately document all aspects of repair estimates, adjustments, repairs and failure diagnosis, including part numbers, part descriptions, estimated labor hours, actual labor hours, mileage, vehicle usage and descriptions of work required to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Assists in planning and review of new or modified installations for mechanical and or electrical systems. Works as an “Emergency Responder” as necessary.  May work more than 8 hours in any particular day or on off hours on short notice.
• Responsible for vehicle maintenance scheduling and documentation.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals in an efficient manner so as to quality customer service.

Qualified applicants will possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities: 

• High school diploma or GED required; degree from a Technical or Vocational school in Mechanics or Electronics preferred.
• Previous experience in the installation and repair of piping systems preferred.
• Previous experience in installation, maintenance and repair of submersible pumps or other rotating equipment generally found in water and wastewater facilities.
• Excellent proven electro-mechanical repair and troubleshooting skills.
• Travel requirements 60% Daily Travel & 40% Overnight Travel.  Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required;  Class A CDL with air brake endorsement or ability to possess CDL within 90 days of hire is required.  
• High level communication and organization skills, as well as an attitude towards positive customer service required.
• Basic computer knowledge required.
• Ability to work as an “Emergency Responder” subject to overtime and occasional overnight travel on short notice required.
• Ability to manually lift and maneuver heavy objects, parts, equipment and materials required.
• Ability to work outdoors under extreme weather conditions required.
• Ability to work under little supervision.
