Responsible for establishing and managing global sources of freight and logistics for all of API Heat Transfer to enhance our competitive advantage.
Responsible for leading efforts to implement and maintain import and export compliance practices for all API Heat Transfer locations.
Responsibilities:
Develop and identify new global freight sources. Evaluate current freight sources and pricing. Monitor performance of current national 3PL partner.
Negotiation and assurance of compliance with all carrier costs including weight charges, storage fees, and international shipping tariffs.
Understand customs requirements. Ensure C-TPAT certification is maintained and reinforced.
Develop good customs compliance practices, train personnel, execute compliance audits. Stay abreast of all regulatory changes that affect API Heat Transfer
Serve as corporate contact for US C-TPAT program. Expand program as necessary.
Create/refine and enforce practices, including supplier contract, standards, guidelines, policy compliance requirements, etc.to improve the company’s performance in delivering the goods to the customer. Work with Business Units on cost reduction efforts as it relates to freight and logistics
Create uniform metrics and report against these metrics. Provide solutions to identified problems.
Additional Responsibilities:
Manage high-level supplier relationships, building strong trust-based relationships.
Prepare budget proposals and cost analysis.
Perform project assignments as requested.
Stay abreast of current trend and best practices.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required.
7 years global freight experience required
5 years import / export compliance involvement.
ERP/MRP systems experience required
