Job Description

KIRA Inc., the base operations and maintenance support services contractor for the US Army’s Fort Carson Colorado Directorate of Public Works, has the immediate need for a Property Control Specialist.

Seeking a Property Control Specialist to support a government customer in Colorado. At the full performance level, work independently with minimal supervision and be responsible for maintaining inventories of goods and materials for area of assignment. Incumbent will ensure that all relevant property is added to the accountable property system. Create hard copy documentation for addition, adjustment and deletion of property for signature of accountable officer. The incumbent will prepare, issue and update hand receipts, conduct at least an annual inventory and document those findings to the office of assignment.
  • The Property Control discipline is highly diverse and Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities.
  • Assists in maintaining inventories.
  • Processes routine inventory requests by validating receipt of goods and materials against requirements.
  • Assists in the property inventory process; helps reconcile property discrepancies; and assists in the input and retrieval of information from various databases including PBUSE and SLAMIS to accurately track and inventory items.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to become familiar with Agency and Logistics regulations, policies, and unique authorities.
  • Some Basic knowledge of Logistics procedures and policies specific to the area of assignment.
  • Some Basic knowledge of various Logistics databases and applications.
  • Basic knowledge of how to read and interpret.




  • Oral and written communication skills sufficient to compose and deliver responses to customers’ routine questions in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to develop an internal network of professional working relationships within the work unit and with service partners’ counterparts in other Offices.
  • Ability to interact with customers effectively in resolving routine problems.
  • Ability to adapt to changing work requirements and priorities.
  • Ability to use good judgment and personal initiative in recognizing appropriate action to be taken for completion of tasks.
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of service delivery.
  • Ability to interact with people who have different values, cultures, or backgrounds.

    Candidates may be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance as a condition of employment.
