Aptean is looking for a Technical Consultant to deliver world-class product deployments for Enterprise Managed Service Providers and Digital Service Providers.   

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

1

 Learn, understand and develop expertise in all identified Aptean products 

2

 

 Design, develop and deploy high quality software solutions within the specified timeline  

3

 Able to work with multiple projects during the different stages of their deployment and to report to management the status of the projects 

4

 Work independently on projects with limited supervision 

5

 Work closely with customers to resolve issues on time and also guide others in resolving difficult issues.

 Identify product enhancements and potential improvements. 

7

 Participate in interviewing and hiring process as directed and advised by your manager and Head of Human Resources

8

 Undertake any other assignments for which the company’s management may request your participation from time to time. 

9

 Mentor junior team members and help them follow the identified training plan.    

 

 

Skills/Requirements

Minimum Education:  B.E/B.Tech/MCA/M.Tech/M.E/B.S. 

Minimum Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 4 years experience in the software industry with at least 2 years in professional services consulting.
  • Mandatory skills:  Core Java, Java Server Pages, Struts, J2EE, basic PL/SQL, JDBC/ODBC, XSL, networking concepts (TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, DNS), HTML, SWL, XML. Experience on at least one Relational Database. Experience with Java web application servers.
  • Desirable skills: Programming ability in Java, JavaScript, Java Server Pages, HTML, Velocity Templates.
  • Must be proficient in standard word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software.
  •  Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Other Desired Experience and Skills:

Experience in Knowledge Management domain will be an added advantage.

Experience with content management, content authoring, content delivery, and search engine technology.

Experience with customer service and support technologies such as CRM systems and web based Self Service.

Experience with integrating disparate systems using web services, APIs, and other methods.
