SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Corporate Director of Strategic Planning the Strategic Planning Associate/Project Manager is responsible for providing support, management and leadership in data analysis, strategic planning and project management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
DATA ANALYSIS:
Provides support to the Corporate Director of Strategic Planning with an emphasis on data gathering and analysis, health care policy and reimbursement analysis, business analysis and financial forecasting, and project management.
Contributes to vision and policy direction to optimally position the System in a rapidly changing health care environment.
Maintains dashboard and reports on significant data trends quarterly.
STRATEGIC PLANNING:
Conducts research, writes position/white papers, and provides an on-going review of the long term care environment to ensure that JHL’s strategy is current. This includes industry trend analysis and competitive analysis.
Provides support to the Big Ideas Committee.
Supports strategic planning and program development processes throughout JHL at the Divisions/program level, and updates existing plans as necessary.
Researches and coordinates statistical and demographic information as required through Internet search vehicles, library research, use of industry-specific publications, etc.
Participates in strategic planning implementation, managing and tracking implementation processes through the development of project timelines, cash flows, communication plans and other supportive materials.
Analyzes business trends and identifies opportunities for the System consistent with its mission.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT:
Supports and manages capital project components throughout the System as needed.
Assists with the preparation of Certificate of Need processes and other regulatory filings.
Provides support to the Manhattan Master Plan and Sarah Neuman Project Committees as needed.
OTHER:
Assists in creating department presentations for management meetings, Board retreats, internal updates and project status reports.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills/Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred. Background and training in Public Health, Strategy, Business Development, or other related field preferred.
Knowledge of the health care industry. Ability to read and understand complex documents. Ability to create work plans, pro-formas, spreadsheets, charts and presentations.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Impeccable writing skills and the ability to analysis and synthesize research data.
Ability to prepare and delivery high level presentations.
