The Corporate Training Coordinator is responsible for helping to further the professional development of all employees, ensuring a highly skilled workforce. This role is highly strategic as it promotes the development of our most important asset: our talent. Primary responsibilities include assisting the Training Manager to coordinate training classes, assisting with employee development, and analyzing employee performance. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to identify and assess internal and external training programs to address competency gaps.
  • Organize, develop or source training programs to meet specific training needs.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external training suppliers; liaise with subject matter experts regarding instructional design.
  • Develop and manage training aids such as manuals and handbooks.
  • Coordinate employee communication about training options.
  • Map out training plans for individual employees.
  • Present training programs using recognized training techniques and tools.
  • Facilitate learning through a variety of delivery methods including classroom instruction, virtual training, on-the-job coaching.
  • Design and apply assessment tools to measure training effectiveness; track and report on training outcomes.
  • Evaluate and make recommendations on training material and methodology.
  • Maintain employee training records and manage corporate training budget.
  • Handle logistics for training activities including venues and equipment; manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment.
  • Coordinate off-site training activities for employees.
  • Keep current on training design and methodology.
Skills/Requirements
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in a related field, such as instruction and training.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in a Training Coordinator (or similar) role
  • Relevant computer skills for data gathering and analysis, problem solving and analysis.
  • Knowledge of adult instructional design and learning theory, principles and management systems.
  • Knowledge of training methodologies and competency assessment.
  • Preferred certification; such as ASTD (American Society for Training and Development)
  • Successful planning and organizing.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation and coaching skills
  • Known to be adaptable, a team player, and display good judgment.
